About

Kristina is twenty-five, going on forty-five, and still believes in dreams. American in mind but English at heart. She also apparently still writes in third person.

In the meantime, she is an ardent traveler. She's spent most of her young adult life traveling on her own accord, having backpacked through Europe, taught English in Japan, and lived abroad three times by the age of twenty-three. With a BA in history and archaeology, she worked on the Tel Gezer Excavation and Publication Project in Israel and was recipient of the Richard and Miriam L. Mix Award for Excellence in Historical Writing.

Nothing gives her more joy than writing. Recently her first novel, Something Amusing, was privately published. She's now working on pitching it to larger publishers and securing a literary agent.

In a close second is her love for the great consulting detective Sherlock Holmes. In May of 2011 she started The Baker Street Babes Podcast [x], an all-female Sherlock Holmes outfit that talks everything from canon to Cumberbatch. Through the podcast she's been privileged enough to speak to some of the greatest Sherlockians of the day as well as those associated with the  WB movie franchise and the terrific BBC Sherlock series. Kristina also enjoys baking and photography, as well as being a very proud dork and nerd. Her favorite color is purple.
